The opening ceremony was attended by Ahmad al-Sharaa, the President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Latifa al-Droubi, First Lady, representatives of the Syrian government, and the heads of delegations from participating countries.

The Republic of Abkhazia was represented at the ceremony by Oleg Bartsits, the head of the delegation, Foreign Minister.

In his speech, the Syrian leader noted the fair's important role in restoring of trade and economic ties, attracting investment, and Syria's return to the regional and international economic space.

This year, the fair places a special emphasis on developing of international trade, economic, and investment cooperation. Business meetings and negotiations involving representatives of official delegations, business leaders, and investment groups are taking place during the first days of the fair.
