On August 6, 2026, at the invitation of the Ministry of Culture of the Syrian Arab Republic, Muhammad Ali, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia attended the opening of the 2026 Syrian Summer Family Festival in the Damascus Citadel.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Culture of the Syrian Arab Republic, Muhammad Yassin Saleh, the Minister of Tourism, Mazen Al-Salhani, and several ambassadors accredited to the Syrian Arab Republic.

The festival will run until August 21 as part of a tour of Syrian provinces to promote cultural and social interaction.
